A water scooper drops about 1,600 gallons of water on the Wolf Creek Fire earlier this week. The specialized aircraft skim the surface of lakes to fill internal tanks in 12 to 26 seconds. The two scoopers were based in McCall this week, scooping from Lake Cascade near Sugarloaf Island. Boaters are advised to stay clear of their path.
