TOP OF TAMARACK—Over 250 people participated in the Top of Tamarack race on Saturday at Tamarack Resort. The event, now in its fourth year, was organized by the Boise nonprofit Gr8ter to help empower people to overcome mental health struggles and celebrate the lives of friends and family lost to suicide. Placed along the trail were placards with the names of those lost. Participants hiked, biked and ran to the top of the mountain, or as far up as they cared to go. Proceeds from the race funded local education initiatives to support mental health and suicide prevention. Photo courtesy of Isabella Janovick
