June 3, 1958 – March 14, 2023

Robert “Bruce” Kirk passed away on Tuesday, March 14, 2023, at the age of 64. 

Following a long, hard battle with cancer, he slipped away peacefully with family at his side.   

He was born to Bob and Marcia Kirk on June 3, 1958, in Boise but raised in McCall with his younger sisters Bonnie and Stacy. 

He graduated from McCall-Donnelly School in 1976. 

In December 1977, he married Vonda Inglis (now Schuld), and they raised their daughters, Laura and Leah, on a hill in the country overlooking the valley. 

He was a free spirit and avid explorer of the outdoors – especially if he could do it while flying. 

He worked many jobs but spent his later years as a paragliding instructor in Santa Barbara.

He moved back to Idaho in 2014 to be with, and help care for, his parents. 

He treasured the moments he spent watching his grandchildren, Ruby and Hudson, grow and learn. 

He loved his family deeply and enjoyed living the simple life. 

Though quiet initially, those who knew him appreciated his humor, mischievous grin, adventurous spirit and tender heart. 

He was loyal, compassionate, and kind. 

Though he will be deeply missed, his family is thankful he is now free to fly wherever the wind takes him.

He is survived by his mother, two sisters, two daughters and two grandchildren.
