SMOKY BEAR—Donnelly Library Director Sherry Scheline reads a book about Smoky Bear to an audience of young onlookers. Over 300 people attended the 80th birthday of Smoky Bear at the McCall Smokejumper base on Sunday. The event celebrated he history of Smoky Bear and the character’s work in preventing wildfires.
