PAUL ROBERT HENRY MOSER

March 29, 1937 – April 13, 2023

Paul Robert Henry Moser, 86, passed away peacefully in his home on Thursday, April,

13, 2023.

Born in Brooklyn, New York, on March 29, 1937, to Kathe and Paul Moser. Paul spent his formative years in New York with his two sisters, Ria and Kathy.

Kathe and Paul were both from Germany and came to the United States as teenagers. German influence and traditions were very evident in his home. Growing up in New York during the ‘40sand ‘50s provided Paul with many cultural experiences such as the birth of Jazz, Rock N

Roll, peg leg pants and duck tail hairdo’s, to name a few.

As a young teenager, Paul joined the Army, and was stationed in sunny California, followed by a tour of duty to Venice, Italy. His tour ended with an honorable discharge in 1962. During that time, he was married and had his first and only child, daughter Ricky Lynn.

From Europe, California became his home, while most of his career was spent working at Anheuser-Busch Brewery. During those years he spent much of his time collecting antiques, remodeling homes and being a great father.

In the early ‘80s he married the love of his life Marsha Moser. Shortly after, they began their new journey together in New Meadows. Here they shared in running the Meadows Motel & Service Station, while enjoying their grandkids and family. Later years brought them to Boise, where Paul and Marsha settled & retired.

Grocery shopping was one of Paul’s most favorite things to do along with his continued love of antique collecting. He was very proud of his collections and loved to share stories about each and every one of them. He was known for his ability to make a great pizza, his dry humor and wit.

Paul is survived by his loving wife Marsha; daughter Ricky de la Garrigue (Joe); sisters,

Ria Meyer and Kathy McCaffery; two grandsons, Jeffrey (Mary) Luff and Joe (Mayuko) Luff; three great-grandchildren, Krista, Mabry and Jalen Luff; two nieces, Debbie Prigatano (Wayne) and Lisa McCaffrey (Randy); two nephews Kevin McCaffrey (Alyssa and Justin) and James Meyer (Beth and Jessica).

He will be missed by all. Private services will be held at Boise Veterans Memorial Cemetery.
