OPEN FOR BUSINESS—Valley County Pathways celebrated the grand opening of the Samson Trail pathway on Wednesday, Oct. 9 with students from Barbara R. Morgan Elementary and Payette Lakes Middle School testing out the gravel trail. McCall Mayor Bob Giles cut the ribbon. The mile-long pathway runs along Samson Trail, connecting city pathways in McCall to Elo Road. A continuation of the trail is planned for Elo Road south to Pearson Lane. The $311,000 project was paid for by a $250,000 grant from the Local Highway Technical Assistance Council’s Children’s and Pedestrian Safety Program, $25,000 from the St. Luke’s Fit One program and Valley County Pathways.Photo courtesy of Valley County Pathways
