The Valley County 4-H Shooting Sports program was recently awarded a $12,000 grant from the Friends of the NRA to purchase equipment for 4-H archery, pistol, shotgun and rifle activities. On June 13 Valley County 4-H youth and volunteers partnered with Valley Wide Cooperative to host a barbecue fundraiser, raising $689 toward their goal of $4,100. The funds will help purchase a trailer to safely house and transport equipment for the growing 4-H Shooting Sports program. Donations are still being accepted toward fundraising efforts.
