KNOWLES ROAD FIRE - No one was hurt last Friday when a propane heater exploded at about 5:22 p.m. and ignited a home being built at 1104 Knowles Rd. in McCall, according to McCall Fire & EMS. The home, which was framed but not enclosed, burned down after the explosion, Fire Chief Garrett de Jong said. No workers were near the heater when the blast occurred, and the fire was put out with about 15,000 gallons of water before it could damage other nearby homes, de Jong said.
