The Mountaineers A-team took first place in the Ice Breaker Tournament on Saturday with wins over the Junior Steelheads of Boise (6-2), Sun Valley Suns (6-2), Coeur d’Alene Thunder (13-1) and Spokane Junior Chiefs (3-1). The team beat the Junior Steelheads in the championship game with a score of 9-3. The McCall Mountaineers B-team finished third in the tournament, with wins over the Ice Pilots, Sun Valley Suns B-team and a semi-final loss to the Junior Steelheads B-team.
