M-D defeats Kimberly with penalty kicks, 4-3 The McCall-Donnelly boys soccer team saved the most thrilling for last, defeating Kimberly, 4-3, via extra kicks on Saturday to win the consolation final at the 3A state tournament in Twin Falls. Keaton Swift and Beckett Mortimer both hit the net as the Vandals tied the Bulldogs, 2-2, through regulation in the game played at Sunway Soccer Complex.

Mountaineers to hit the ice

New adult hockey team to play Rock Springs in two games Familiar faces will fill the roster when the newly rebooted McCall Mountaineers hockey team opens the season Friday and Saturday against the Rock Springs Roughnecks. The puck will drop at 7:30 p.m.

McManus wins gold, Speirs silver at 3A district X-C meet Jack McManus and George Speirs finished atop the boys field and the Vandal girls won a team title as the McCall-Donnelly cross country team competed at the 3A District III championships last week in Homedale. Mc-Manus, a senior, won his third straight district championship, course in 16 minutes, 47 seconds.
