Star-News High schoolers Carson Rowley and Davis Taylor shot a round of pool last week at the newly opened Game Changer Teen Center in what used to be storage room at Cascade Schools. Amenities include a ping pong table, pool table, video games, a basketball game, a dartboard, an arcade, cornhole, two foosball tables, couches, chairs, board games and a concessions station.
Jill Thomas scored a teamhigh 10 points as the Payette Lakes Middle School seventh grade girls basketball team defeated McCain Middle School of Payette, 29-3, last week in McCall. Atley Binninger added eight points while Bristol White chipped in seven points as the Vikings moved to 3-1 on the season.
The Payette Lakes Middle School wrestling team competed against Parma and Payette during a tri-meet last week in Parma. Colt Crockett, Kevin Rushton, Taos Cook, Cayden Fee and Carver Woodcock all went undefeated during the Snake River Valley Conference gathering.

Cascade swimmer Laura Inwards snared a silver medal while competing at the 4A State Championships held Friday and Saturday at the Boise West YMCA. Inwards submitted a personal-best time of 1 minute, 3 seconds to claim second place in the 100-yard butterfly, an event she competed at state in last year.
