Montana musher wins third ISDC race

Royer to compete in Iditarod Jessie Royer won her third Idaho Sled Dog Challenge last week, crossing the finish line in Cascade in just over 50 hours, 12 hours faster than last year’s winning time. In second place was last year’s winner Josi Thyr, who also bettered that winning time, finishing less than an hour behind Royer.

Cascade cheerleaders get to compete

PHOTO BY CHELSEA TUTTLE/FOR THE STAR-N EWS The Cascade cheer team faced off against district competition Saturday at Capital High School in Boise, but fell short of its goal to qualify for state. The Rambler squad already deserves cheers for accomplishing a goal in place since coach Dorothy Olson took charge of the team in 2019: Participate in actual competitions.
