The McCall Nordic and Biathlon Ski Club hosted the second race of the year this past Saturday at Jug Mountain Ranch.

As told by local skier David Watkins (1953-2020) in the last year of his life. Watkins grew up in McCall where his father, Ray Watkins, coached the McCall Mighty Mites. The younger Watkins was named to the 1972 NCAA All American Ski Team after placing second in the NCAA Slalom Championships that year.
