
Banked slalom comes to town
The Little Ski Hill hosted the 11th annual banked slalom competition on Saturday.

The Little Ski Hill hosted the 11th annual banked slalom competition on Saturday.
The race was the final of the season for the club’s U10 and U12 skiers.
Skiers competed in a Super-G and cross-country race as well as a long jump “gelande” competition. The events were open to club athletes and also parents and coaches of all ages.

McCall Winter Sports Club U10 racer Mia Andersen placed first in both alpine ski races at Tamarack Resort Saturday and Sunday.
Five MWSC skiers participated in the race, which included a giant slalom race Friday and Saturday and saw Sunday’s slalom race canceled because of excess snowfall.

The McCall Nordic and Biathlon Ski Club’s annual Bring Back Biathlon event Saturday included about 40 skiers competing for time and shooting accuracy on the trails at Jug Mountain Ranch.

The freeride event was presented by the McCall Winter Sports Club as part of the International Freeskiers and Snowboarders Association’s junior competition at Brundage Mountain Resort Saturday.
