McCall to spend $147K on golf course sewer upgrade

A $147,000 contract to repair a sewer pumping station at the McCall Golf Course was awarded last week by the McCall City Council. The pumping station, which is at the Golf Course Clubhouse at 925 Fairway Dr., has failed multiple times over the last year, forcing the clubhouse to close and golf course restaurant, Banyans on the Green, to close due to a lack of sewer service. The work will either be completed before the upcoming golf season opens or after the season ends, Golf Course Superintendent Eric McCormick said. The contract for the work was awarded to Challenger Companies of Nampa. The sewer pumping station at the golf course is one of few in McCall not owned and managed by the Payette Lakes Recreational Water and Sewer District. For more information on the golf course, visit https://www.mccall.id.us/departments/GolfCourse.
