Perpetua Resources’ proposed gold and antimony mine is located in the Stibnite Mining District about 40 air miles east of McCall. Perpetua, formerly known as Midas Gold, hopes to extract about $6 billion in gold and other minerals from Stibnite, the site of historic mining operations during World War II and as far back as 1899.

A 21-year-old Nampa man is alright after spending Monday night lost in Ponderosa State Park without shelter. The man, whose name was not released, left a home where he was staying with family members on Reedy Lane in McCall around 10:30 p.m.
