Supporting victims of domestic violence

Can you imagine being afraid in your own home? Often, we get used to our comfortable standard of living and forget that there are so many people that are struggling with violence in their home. Did you know that on average, women experience 35 incidents of violence before reporting it to law enforcement or before seeking services? Each day in Idaho approximately 670 survivors and their children seek safety and services from community-based programs.

Better vetting

I have recently been witness to the hiring processes people I know have endured for a couple different kinds of jobs. In both situations, there were multiple rounds of grueling interviews, requests to prepare and deliver presentations, a significant review of work samples, and a thorough background check that included a credit check.

Perpetua proposal explained

Perpetua Resources’ proposed gold and antimony mine is located in the Stibnite Mining District about 40 air miles east of McCall. Perpetua, formerly known as Midas Gold, hopes to extract about $6 billion in gold and other minerals from Stibnite, the site of historic mining operations during World War II and as far back as 1899.
