The Boise National Forest is asking for public comments on a project to address the destructive effects of wildfires this summer that burned more than 245,000 acres on the forest.The project will address safety hazards and potential soil erosion as well as repairs to damaged roads, bridges and other forest infrastructure.“The Boise National Forest along with our partners experienced a truly challenging 2024 wildfire season with over 245,000 acres of Forest Service system ground burning,” said Boise National Forest Supervisor Brant Petersen.“This calls for a larger restoration effort than we’ve ever taken on, and one that requires a timely response,” Petersen said.Comments must be submitted by Dec.
