Critics rap Payette’s findings on Perpetua’s plans for Stibnite

BY DREW DODSON The Star-News A federal study of Perpetua Resources’ proposed gold and antimony mine near Yellow Pine “fails to address significant project shortcomings,” according to the Idaho Conservation League. The study focuses on an updated mining plan Perpetua submitted to the Payette National Forest in December 2020 to improve water quality and fish habitat at Stibnite.

Absentee ballots that have already been mailed include the error, but those ballots are still valid, a press release from the Valley County Clerk’s office said.
