Support your local student athletes each week by voting for your favorite hometown sports stars in The Star-News Athlete of the Week contest.

Winners of the contest of the week of October 7 to 13 are Annabel Gonda of the McCall-Donnelly girls soccer team and Stuart Derrick of the Cascade High School football team.

Nominations for the week of October 14 to 20 are Maddie Lathrop (M-D girls soccer), Claire Pierce (Cascade HS volleyball), Bisbee Henderson (M-D volleyball), Max Stoddard (M-D football), Toby Klasner (M-D boys soccer) and Cole Olson (Cascade HS football).

The online contest will select a nominated athlete who had outstanding accomplishments in their sport the previous week.

Participants can vote once per day, every day while the polls are open from Monday to Sunday at 11:59 p.m.
