July 31, 1955 – March 5, 2023
Sue went home to be with our Lord March 5, 2023. She was born July 31, 1955, in Columbus, Ohio, to William and Maxine Glaister, who preceded her in passing. Sue attended Bishop Kelly High School. After graduating, Sue went into the Army in which she completed her Medic training at Fort Sam Houston.
After leaving the military, Sue went further into the medical field and graduated from Roper Hospital School of Nursing in Charleston, South Carolina, and then was employed by St. Francis Xavier Hospital in Charleston, South Carolina.
Sue met and married Randall Quick for a short time and continued in her nursing profession. Later she met and married Jim May, and together they had a son, John William May (Amy). Later they divorced, and Sue moved to Idaho. Sue continued her education, taking several classes at BSU and working for St. Al’s, where she met her husband.
They worked in Boise for a while, finally moving to McCall, where she obtained employment at the local nursing home, and when an opening came up went to McCall Memorial Hospital. Sue was quite accomplished at making her own nursing uniforms and would make many of them for all the different holidays or seasons.
Sue loved fishing, photography, painting and cooking. Sadly, Alzheimer’s, also known as the long goodbye, would enter her life, and eventually would claim her life.
Sue’s celebration of life will be Sunday, April 23, at 1 p.m. at the Donnelly Bible Church, 159 FW Gestrin St. in Donnelly, with Pastor Chad Schommer officiating.
In lieu of flowers, please make a donation to the Donnelly Bible Church, or the Donnelly Food pantry, known as the Grainery. There will be a potluck and social gathering at the church after the service.
