LIGHTNING STRIKES-Firefighters from the Payette National Forest extinguished four small fires last week following lighting on June 11. Purple dots on the map represent lightning strikes that were recorded on June 11. The fires that were controlled include the 0.25-acre Twin Lakes fire north of Shaw Twin Lakes on the McCall Ranger District, the 0.1-acre Sixmile Fire southwest of Granite Mountain on the New Meadows Ranger District, the 0.1-acre Peterson Fire near the Wind River Bridge on the Salmon river and the 0.1-acre Bull Fire, southeast of Bear Idaho.
