AVALANCHE CHECK-Cascade High School senior Hayden Hull installed an avalanche beacon check station at the Anderson Creek Snow Park on the west side of Lake Cascade on Sunday. The check station can be used by snowmobilers and other backcountry winter travelers to test whether their avalanche transceiver is working properly. The station reminds users to check local avalanche forecasts, to bring essential gear like snow shovels and avalanche probes and to think of the consequences of traveling in avalanche terrain.
