Donnelly adopts 2025 budget

A $2.1 million budget proposal for 2025 was adopted on Monday by the Donnelly City Council. The city will collect about $146,000 in property taxes under the 2025 budget, which includes the maximum 3% property tax increased allowed by state law.

Schools monitor air quality as athletics begin

Officials are monitoring air quality as high school athletes start practice this week to prepare for the fall season.A series of wildfires have filled Valley County skies with smoke and diminished the air quality in recent weeks, and even forced organizers of a popular mountain bike race to be held at Tamarack Resort in Donnelly over the weekend to call off the event.But McCall-Donnelly Activities Director Conor Kennedy said school officials are on top of it.

Cascade’s Platts a Hall of Famer

Add Hall of Famer to the long list of achievements for Cascade’s Bill Platts.The local 96-year-old track and field world record-holder was inducted into the Idaho Senior Games Hall of Fame at a ceremony last week.Platts received a custom glass trophy of recognition, with his name engraved.
