The Shoemaker Storage facility, with about 97,000 square feet of space in five buildings near Donnelly, was put on hold Monday after Valley County Commissioners tabled an appeal of the proposal. Funds dedicated for community health improvements Ten groups in Valley County were awarded a total of $45,000 from the St. Luke’s Community Health Improvement Fund to improve community health.
The Big Creek Airstrip was unusable for several days after snowmobilers rode through the snow-covered landing area last week. The airstrip, which is about 3,500 feet long and located about 41 miles east of McCall was made usable again after eight volunteers “groomed” the snow with improvised machinery Sunday, said lead volunteer Scott Amos, who owns a cabin in Yellow Pine.
