It was one of dozens of car crashes that happen on an almost weekly basis on the preposterous bridge that makes a serpentine path across Lake Fork Creek where it meets Lake Cascade instead of following a straight line.
West Central Idaho Youth Baseball will kick off its events with an open gym at Barbara Morgan Elementary on Tuesday, March 7, at 7 p.m. Other open gym dates include Tuesdays, March 14 and 28.
Paige Andra led the McCall Winter Sports Club’s U14 racers as the club hosted a super-G race at Brundage Mountain Resort Friday through Monday. The races were an Intermountain Division Qualifier in the U.S.
Soloman Childs and Asher Lee both came away with gold as the McCall Wrestling Club competed at the Idaho State Folkstyle Championships Friday and Saturday in Meridian. Wrestlers from the local club collected several top marks, including two silvers, one bronze and a fourthplace finish.

Disabled access upgrades to the McCall City Hall Campus, Gold Glove Park and a public boat ramp near Legacy Park are top priorities under a plan adopted last week by the McCall City Council. The plan, called “Access McCall,” outlines upgrades needed to make city sidewalks, parks and buildings more accessible to people with disabilities as outlined by federal law.
The Meadows Valley boys basketball team’s season wrapped up last week with two cancelled games. The Mountaineers were set to travel to Cottonwood Friday to play St.
Luke Scott scored 24 points and the McCall-Donnelly boys basketball team fought off Payette, 61-53, to wrap up the regular season on Friday with a Snake River Valley Conference road victory. The Vandals open the 3A District III Tournament Saturday at 7 p.m.
Seniors Ashtyn Jones and Jenna Thomas each scored 10 points, but the McCall-Donnelly girls basketball team lost to Fruitland, 54-42, during a 3A District III Tournament elimination game last week, ending its season.
