Suspects arrested in two burglaries

Video doorbell cameras assist in both cases Three suspects were arrested last week by Valley County sheriff’s deputies in response to two forced-entry burglaries with the help of home security cameras. “Cameras from homes and neighbors are huge for helping us identify suspects and bring justice for victims,” said Valley County Sheriff’s Office lieutenant Kevin Copperi.

Nitzel scores 21 in Ramblers’ loss

Kyler Nitzel scored 21 points, but the Cascade girls basketball team let a Long Pin Conference game against Garden Valley slip away, 45-35, on Saturday at Novotny Gym. Kallyn Rogers scored six points and Lacey Mack added five points as the Ramblers fell to 5-7 on the season, including 1-2 in league games.

Cascade boys struggle vs. Garden Valley

The Cascade boys basketball team struggled against a visiting Garden Valley squad Saturday, losing 63-44 in a Long Pin Conference game played at Novotny Gym. It was the Ramblers’ first game since losing all-conference performer Tyler Thurston, and coach Josh Hurley said the team missed more than just the junior’s knack for finding the net.
