Mountain lions spotted in McCall

Fish and Game says no attacks reported so far Several reports of mountain lions roaming neighborhoods in McCall have recently been received by the Idaho Department of Fish and Game. Anyone who encounters a mountain lion should back away slowly while making eye contact and appearing as big and loud as possible, regional wildlife manager Regan Berkley said.

Vandals fall short in defensive standoff

McCall-Donnelly’s Luke Scott limped out of the locker room following a 28-27 loss to Homedale on Saturday as if he had just engaged in a heavyweight fight, much less a boys varsity basketball game. The Vandal junior was held to four points during the Snake River Valley Conference game played at the M-D gym, slowed by a bum ankle he reaggravated during the second half.

Ramblers end five-game skid

Kallyn Rogers had a monster game with 29 points and 13 rebounds as the Cascade girls basketball team snapped a fivegame skid by defeating Compass Charter School, 44-22, on Saturday in Meridian. Kyler Nitzel also chipped in 12 points as the Ramblers moved to 6-10 with the non-conference victory.
