M-D reaches final The Ford Idaho Center in Nampa was stuffed with Vandal faithful as the McCall-Donnelly boys basketball team played in its second straight 3A state championship game in March. The Vandals lost a heartbreaker, 40-22, to Kimberly, but the M-D squad already cemented a legacy after bringing a first-ever district championship to the school’s boys basketball program.

New snowmobiles for forecasters

Avalanche forecasters for the Payette National Forest will have much better access to the steep and snowy terrain they cover thanks to two new snowmobiles. The machines were provided free of charge in a season-long loan program through the manufacturer, Ski-Doo, said Friends of the Payette Avalanche Center board member Janna Allen.
