Four returning players have Daniel D’Lerma feeling good going into his third season as head coach of the Meadows Valley boys basketball team. The Mountaineers open play today at home, hosting St. John’s Bosco Academy of Cottonwood at the MV gym. Tipoff is at 6 p.m.
Seniors Griffin Good and Kyler Kunde represented the McCall-Donnelly football team at the East-West Shrine All-Star Game on Saturday at Middleton High School. Both players were selected to play for the East, which suffered a 24-22 loss to the West.
Joel Sherer and Rob Pair will team up to steer the ship for the McCall-Donnelly wrestlers this season. The co-coaches take over for former skipper Dan Erekson, who moved to Las Vegas in July to train and wrestle competitively after running the Vandal program the last four years.
