Vandal boys just miss in opener

Josh Sorensen’s 3-point attempt at the buzzer careened in and off the rim as the Mc-Call-Donnelly boys basketball team opened the season on Saturday with a 50-48 road loss to Orofino. Luke Scott led the Vandals with 10 points while Sam Penny and Sorensen both finished with eight points.

Tamarack Resort opens tomorrow

Brundage Mountain Resort opened on Friday Tamarack Mountain Resort is set to open tomorrow with a new ticket kiosk at the base of the Tamarack Express and a redesigned area to help visitors ski to and from the village. About 90% of the lower mountain will be open, with 100% of the upper mountain accessed by the Summit Express open for skiing, said Wolfe Ashcraft, vice president for resort marketing and operations at Tamarack Resort.
