Building to be converted to center for local youth The Heartland Recycle Center in New Meadows would be closed and remodeled into a youth center under tentative plans for the building by the City of New Meadows. Adams County commissioners agreed last month to sell the building to the city for $60,000 as part of a plan to start collecting recycling materials at the New Meadows Transfer Site off U.S.
Work on two-year job to start next spring Work to rebuild First Street in downtown McCall will begin next spring under contracts awarded by the McCall City Council last week. Council members voted to award a contract worth $759,000 to Knife River Corp.
Agency to tackle lack of worker housing A new government agency aimed at creating housing for working residents of McCall was formed last week by the McCall City Council. The McCall Area Housing Authority’s first task will be to manage the 14 homes and apartments available only to McCall residents already under the city’s control.
